Thanks for all those articles, they are really great! I especially like testing team presentations and the fact that you systematically mention which team the players are part of in tournament report. This is really interesting and that's the first and only source of information about testing team AFAIK.
When you post a picture of a team, could you put the names in such a way that we can figure out who is who? Like first row, from left to right, ... I have been travelling to tournaments and started meeting some of those people so that would help a bit to keep faces on names :)
Also, data analysis of tournament is really nice. Are you doing data crushing on deck composition too? I was thinking of calculating the number of copies of each card in all decks that made top cuts for the last few weeks. The goal is to identify which cards are played most often so that I can make some proxies for them and easily build 3-4 decks that are meta competitive. I only have NSG cards and some alt arts.
I have some skills in data analysis, so I could do it myself, but I thought that maybe you already have some data on that that you could share. I'll share back my results of course!
Hi Raphael, I'm glad that you are finding the articles useful!
Thanks for your suggestion! I'll look into doing that. Most events encourage players to wear name badges--and some of us have even started to wear netrunner themed dog tags--so hopefully it should be pretty easy to put faces to names at any tournament that you go to.
IIRC, card frequency analysis is something that https://knowthemeta.com/ used to do (currently offline), but it's not something that we do, nor is it something that we plan to do in the forseeable future.
I imagine that Rashida, Border Control, Miss Bones and DJ Fenris are probably the most ubiqutous FFG cards, but there will be other cards that you will want to print as well (depending on your deck preferences).
Thanks for the write up, not_yeti! I’ve been enjoying your Azmari deck and your long-form content on your YouTube really helped me understand the mindset of the deck.
Love the niche of talking about tournament weekends. Looking forward to hearing about the UK circuit. 👍👍
